「Excellent choice for us as it was close to “Main Street” Virginia City. The room was pleasant and quiet. Thus was a quaint well kept hotel and the bed & pillows perfect for a good nights sleep. Highly recommend this location even if it is for one night like it was for us」

「It’s always a pleasure to come here and chill for a couple of days. We are cyclists who enjoy road riding in the area and Desolation is perfectly situated for that. And a wonderful place to come back to after a day of riding for an afternoon of hanging in the Aspen Grove. All amenities are first rate, staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is good (especially breakfast). Nice hiking trails on the property and close by. 」

「We give this property an 11 on a scale of one to ten, so good!! Conveniently located in the middle of everything Markleeville has to offer. The property is clean and in great condition. The owner is friendly and went out of his way to make sure our stay was unforgettable. We loved it.」

「I’m hiking Tahoe Rim Trail and use this as a resupply stop. It’s well positioned for either Blockaway Summit or Mount Rose. The people are very friendly and kind storing my material for my pick up. Room is large. Nice bathroom has a pool and chairs.」
