「What a little gem Hill End Lodge was. We arrived late at night - cold and tired. John welcomed us warmly and Sue and Laura cooked up a storm for us. The place was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Cabin was set in the most beautiful surroundings and cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thanks all. 」

「Clean room, nice balcony, everything worked not sure about the free wifi coukd not connect, laundry available, needed key from reception free continental breakfast between 7am and 9am, pool was empty not sure if it has been available in summer」

「We loved the pool. But unfortunately our cabin was very very basic. The tv was stuck on channel ten and reception couldn’t provide batteries so we could change channel. The bunk bed was in the toilet corridor. Not a great bed. Overall not the worst, just shabby and felt like it wasn’t quite worth $179 a night. 」

「Extremely comfortable room. For value for money - Excellent and right in town. Aircon kept the room warm in a 0 degrees night and the bed was extremely comfortable. Panthers club next door and oxford hotel with a good steakhouse upstairs over the road. Well worth the money」

「Great 1 night stay. Wish we stayed longer. So relaxing looking out over the fields whilst sitting eating our dinner by the fire pit. Felt like you were miles from civilisation but you werent far from suburbia.」

「Very firm bed, stayed 5 nights never given a bin change, fresh towels or extra toilet paper had to ask for towels and toilet paper, bin overflowed. Tiny bathroom. Breakfast was basic continental and filled us up. Carpark definitely needed marking so people don’t take up several spots.」

「Whilst the accommodation was well priced, the room was filthy. Thick dust on all room surfaces and the shower was full of mould along with the shower curtain. On the plus side, the bed was clean and comfortable.」

「We stayed in the 3 bedroom house and it was lovely. Plenty of spare towels, too, which is always a plus. The managers were extremely friendly and helpful, both via texts and in person. NB: Parking was quite tight.Also, the electric blanket is broken in the middle room. 」
