Everything was very nice. The hotel is in a nice location of South Beach away from all the night-time noise and close to shopping, restaurants and the beach. There is also a very nice Italian restaurant on the patio of the hotel. We ate there twice. The antipasto and focaccia is excellent.
The pool area is nice - although there could be more umbrellas to protect from the hot Miami sun. The beach area is nice also - friendly staff, lounges and towels included in the resort fee, but umbrellas are extra.
Everything was great except for one thing - the beds. The beds were awful. The mattresses we so broken down that even sleeping the in the middle of the bed didn't help. Clearly, they purchased the cheapest mattress available - which is strange to me given the number of international guests at the hotel. One would think that a European-standard firm mattress would have been their choice instead of the usual cheapest possible soft mattress you find in most American hotels.
If there is a reason that we would not return, this would be it. Otherwise, everything was very nice.
