Good location. Very old property, retro if you like that kinda thing. Small outdated rooms. Mini bathroom that barely passes. Comfortable bed. Plenty of extra resort/services fees beyond what is quoted through Expedia. Three star hotel at best.

The location of the hotel was great- just across the beach. And had we booked this hotel 20 years ago, it would have been perfect. Both bc it was on the busy nighttime strip and bc the pictures that were posted appeared to have been 20 years old. After we reset our expectations, the stay was adequate in that our rooms were clean. But the initial shock of the clearly AI’d pictures was hard to get over and th broken elevator and lack of amenities (beach chairs, breakfast) just reinforced that what was presented online did not align with what we actually received. Overall, I would just recommend that the online expectations/amenites are updated and use real pictures. Otherwise the stay ended up being fine. Beds were clean even though rooms were not all that nice.

The hotel is 100 years old. The elevator for 3 people at a time broke every day which made it difficult for me (as a handicapped person) difficult to climb to the 3rd floor. They were fully booked and unable to switch us to the ground floor until our last night there.

This hotel needs work. First off the elevator was not working & tv satellite wasn’t working. We had no hot water in the shower or sink. It was a chilly shower. The showerhead was rusty, outlet in bath room didn’t work, tiles chipped, curtains had holes in them,etc. When we mentioned these issues they didn’t seem surprised. They just shrugged and said sorry. This hotel needs remodeled.

The room was utterly disgusting. It was filthy. There were stains all over the washroom (washable), the room was filthy, it wasn’t swept and certainly not wiped down. There wasn’t even a window in the room. It was significantly misrepresented online. It was only for one full day, and two nights, any longer and we would have had to search elsewhere. The location is the only selling feature

They’re very strict about waiting to check in until 4pm. Luckily, able to drop off bags beforehand and a bathroom to change in. Upon check in, elevator was out of service & we were on the 5th floor, TV wasn’t working, and phone in the room wasn’t working. Luckily we only needed to stay one night. The location is great though - lots of shops & restaurants & the beach is a short walk.

This room did not just disappoint, it scared me. Right off the bat we were told that the elevator was out of service. Looking at the previous reviews, it’s been out for months and there is no plan to fix it. When we finally made it up the stairs to the 3rd floor with all our luggage, the smell was burning my eyes. I can only assume there was a dead body behind one of those doors, fingers were crossed it wasn’t ours. When we got the door open we almost fell on the bed because the room was so small. Don’t get me started on the bathroom. I’m a small person, I’m sure if I had a few more pounds on me I would not have been able to wiggle my way from the door to the toilet. Tight courtiers for sure. The glass doors on the shower were so old and poorly maintained that they barely moved. Just to shower, we had to wedge ourselves through the 8 inch opening and hope the glass didn’t shatter. The front desk was nice enough to bring a tv remote when we told them we didnt have one. What they failed to mention was the fact that even with a remote, the tv would not work. Jokes on us I guess! We should have figured the tv wouldn’t work, considering only 1 outlet in our room actually worked. I had to say that the free gym the property is referring to is the endless flights of stairs you need to walk. Need towels? Phones broke. Go down to the desk and ask. They might bring them to you. You might need to go back down. So at the end of this vacation my legs were burning. Do Not stay here

Avoid this hotel. The location on Ocean Drive is great, but that is the only positive. The hotel is old, dirty, and clearly poorly maintained. There was no hot water, flushing the toilet was a struggle every time, and even after asking multiple times we never received extra towels. The hallways were dirty, the elevator was not working, and during the rain the upper floors were literally flooded. The only bright spot was the kind gentleman who hands out beach towels. For the price and location, this place should offer much better standards. In its current condition, the hotel desperately needs a full renovation.

We were told on arrival the elevator was recently put out of service but it seems to me it’s been that way for a while (just a hypothesis). Location is great for Ocean Drive but the rooms are showing their age and the bathrooms are in rough shape. We were also surprised by a daily fee above and beyond what we paid when we booked - it was mentioned for the first time at checkin
