"No one at front desk—a man arrived but did not speak English; we thought he was a guest but he called someone on his cell phone and handed it to me—a woman spoke with me briefly and then the man showed us to our room. Old refrigerator; door did not close, freezer was full of frost. Very few patrons; good because cheap hollow core doors shut very loudly and marble floors very noisy. "The architect owners have created a beautiful property. We loved the contemporary minimalist design. The pool and garden were peaceful and relaxing - although the pool was too cold for us in October! The room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed - and more! Every little detail had been considered in its design and was delightful. The owners and staff members were super friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Kefalonia."
