The cleaner made my holiday. She spoke Italian, I spoke English, we hugged we kissed every day I was there! Made me feel like so at home. And breakfast I was greeted with the kindest staff, always served with a smile.
I was given another room as the first one had an issue with the shower as the water wasn’t contained to one section so I spent the night worried that the water would spill into my room area.
The phone didn’t work which reception confirmed and the second room, a few calls were directed to my room for an unknown reason! All in good humour. I would still recommend this place purely on the attention given when I had an issue.
Scala is super busy so don’t take it personally if they don’t come right away. The wait is worth it. Had the seafood soup with burrata after a long journey and oh vei!"
