We had a double room but only 1 cup was in the room and 1 coat hanger. It had a mini fridge but wasn't working. It did have air con. Breakfast could be extended until at least 10.30 as a couple when we were there arrived at 10am to be told breakfast had finished. So as an urgent task replace all mattresses or at least Room 8」

「I stayed here for work purposes being a short 20 minute commute to Grt Baddow. My work colleague and I were made very welcome. The place was spotlessly clean. Had a lovely bar downstairs for drinks and pub snacks and did a fantastic breakfast in the morning.. I would recommend the full English although there were alternatives, all in all I had a very good stay. I would definitely return to the Oakland if I was working in the area..」

「Really nice hotel. Room was really hot but it was a heat wave and probably not a problem most of the time. Staff were so friendly and helpful especially in the pub for dinner and breakfast. Easy access to train station and travel in to London. Was a nice place to stay outside of all the business. Easy access to Stansted airport too. Would definitely stay again.」
