"Our stay at the Grand Hotel Europa Palace in Sorrento was fantastic. The location is ideal—just steps from the center of town and about a five-minute walk to the train and bus station. The ferry is a bit farther and requires going down to the base of the cliff, but there’s a lift near the marina that makes it much easier. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone—from the front desk to the porters to housekeeping—was incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Lucchia, one of the room attendants, who was especially lovely. The breakfast team was also excellent, including the gentleman in the white tux, the woman and two younger staff members, and the omelette chef. One of the front desk staff even told us she would miss us when we left, which says it all. The views are stunning—overlooking the Gulf of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the distance. Having a drink at the bar with that view was unforgettable. The pool requires several staircases to reach, and the water was quite cold during our stay. The sea was also very cold, and windy conditions made swimming difficult at times. We visited Positano and Amalfi, but Sorrento was our favorite—great vibe, shopping, and restaurants. The Grand Hotel Europa Palace sits right in the middle of it all. You come for the views, but the staff make it feel like home. We can’t wait to return."

"This is an elegant, old-world hotel and is beautifully maintained. The staff were very gracious and helpful. The room was large with high ceilings, an elegant bathroom and a small balcony opening out to the bay. There was a hot water kettle with packs of coffee and a mini-fridge. The rooftop bar/restaurant was a lovely spot for a drink at sunset. The waterfront area directly in front of the hotel is great for walking, and is being refinished very attractively with gray paving stones. It is a 10-12 minute walk along the waterfront to Molo Beverello port for ferries to Capri, Amalfi, etc."

"A beautifully appointed property with all the amenities right at easy reach. The restaurant is fantastic, but not for the casual diner. You'll be there a while. If you need a simple meal, the rooftop is good, and there are options within a block."

"The hotel, and the rooms were very clean and in great conditon. They had great amenities too. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is excellent, lots of choices like eggs, yougurt, ham, cheese and many different cakes. It is also walking distance to Sorrento and lots of restaurants. The only con is that the beds were really hard. Other than that it's excellent. "

"Spent 5 nights in a Sea View suite. The view was incredible of the Bay of Naples and Vesuvius! Hotel located right on the cliff above the water and near the ferry terminal which is convenient. About a 10 minute walk from the train station. Grounds are immaculate, breakfast was great every day with very attentive staff. Didn't use the pool or restaurants but everything looked good. Easy walk to the main areas of Sorrento. It's an older hotel with a lot of charm and we enjoyed our time there."
