I gave this 5 stars because I have no doubt this was the best property in the area. The views are incredible and you are looking at the ocean while you are in the jungle. The free breakfast was a highlight for our family as we all spent time together eating both local and (US) standards. The dinners were equally delicious. To our surprise, the gift shop prices were very reasonable. That said, if you are expecting the kind of 5 star hotel you see in the States you might be disappointed. You might...

My wife and I spent a wonderful two nights at this resort. We got there late the first night and the staff was very helpful in checking us in and planning the next days activities. We enjoyed a late dinner out on the patio overlooking the ocean. Our room was very spacious and immaculate. The next day, we woke to a breathtaking ocean view from the room. We were also awakened by the sound of Howler monkeys far off in the Manuel Antonio Park. The breakfast buffet foods were delicious and the...

What a beautiful hotel overlooking the jungle and the ocean. Very close to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious. Our only complaint is the hot tub was only like warm.

Property was very nice. We saw monkeys on the property make sure you close your door or they’ll come in, lol

My sister and I spent three nights at the hotel. We had an outstanding experience. The room and bathroom were modern and spotless and the beds comfortable. The room was a bit on the small side, but adequate. The staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating, whether it was to make reservations, get taxis, or even to get an excellent physical therapist/masseuse in on Christmas Day to help relieve the pain from a pinched nerve in my neck. The included breakfast by the pool had a nice...

I had a really delightful stay here. It’s in a beautiful place, easily accessible by taxi. I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a jungle view room and had monkeys visit me every day on the balcony. My only critique was that the food was unimpressive. Breakfast was disappointing and the dinner was rather bland and underseasoned and a bit over priced. But I took a taxi into town for the second night and had a great meal there. The staff was kind and professional and the facilities were very...

The staff at the hotel was amazing - so helpful and friendly. Our rooms were cleaned daily with a different little animal made from towels each day. The pool was warm and clean, and we watched the monkeys play in the trees and toucans and macaws fly around. Walkable to the beach, many restaurants, shops, and Manuel Antonio national park. I would definitely stay there again

Beautiful surroundings; our room was secluded and in the midst of what appeared to be a jungle/forest. we relaxed in a hammock on our patio while we saw birds, lizards and monkeys. the pool was refreshing and enhanced by the daily happy hour two for one specials which were well crafted. staff was attentive and friendly and the restaurant had good selections.

Costa Verde exceeded my expectatjons. It looked nice from the pics but when we got there it was so much better. Our room had a full size fridge, cook top, microwave. The beds were comfy, and a nice big shower. The best was the balcony overlooking the ocean. Just beautiful views. And the monkeys! They cam around to visit almost every morning to our balcony. The hotel staff was very inviting, friendly and helpful. Thank you for making our first trip to Costa Rica so wonderful. We will be...

Perfect location with super friendly staff. Can walk to the beach in a minute or could even walk down the beach to the National Park if you wanted. The common area is beautiful with butterflies and a deep pool that somehow always knew what temperature to be! Seriously was warm when it rained and was cooler when it was sunny! The room itself is so neat because it's super simple yet does everything you need. It also has some very unique acoustics which we enjoyed playing around with! Having...

From check in to check out, by far, this is the best Boutique Hotel in Manuel Antonio. Once you arrived, after a long drive from the airport, their friendly staff helps you settle into that “Pura Vida state of mind” Large modern clean rooms with high ceilings and comfortable beds, oh and smart too. About the gardens and the swimming pool..?! Treat your self and book a room at this beautiful place! And please be nice to the staff!

Amazing accommodations and service. Food was exceptional. There was a sloth with a baby outside our room! Exceptional experience.

The very best thing about this hotel is its location, a short walk from the national park and the beach. Our room's balcony provided a great spot to watch wildlife and listen to the nighttime symphony of forest sounds. Absolutely amazing! The staff was professional, friendly, accommodating and tolerated our bad Spanish with grace, though all were fluent in English. Our daughter loved the towel sculptures left on the bed each day, and the staff even put her stuffed animal in the center of a towel...

Where do i start!! Absolutely love our stay at this hotel within the staff Moses at the bar. He was absolutely wonderful. Check-in was very easy. We had a grand bungalow and our room was phenomenal. Housekeeping was very clean. We’re around a lot of different restaurants five minutes away from the national park it was one great experience. There are a lot of animals and monkeys around in our hotel which was a plus my mom was at another hotel nearby and there wasn’t a lot of animals to see around...

Issimo suites was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Beautiful, intimate rooms with exquisite views are paired with a warm and friendly staff. The receptionists were helpful and a delight. The wait staff were responsive and courteous, knowing when to leave you some space when you are gazing off into the lovely night sky. The hotel's chef (chefs?) prepared delicious meals and the menu is varied and surprisingly large considering the size of the establishment. The beach, a 5...

This place is an absolute gem. Just a few minutes drive away from the busy main road . It offers majestic 360 views, serene atmosphere, wonderful stuff, and an amazing private park with trails, hanging bridges and wildlife. My kids loved it! The property is clean and offers privacy. We hope to return. 🌴🙂

This resort is amazing!!! We saw more wildlife on the grounds than at Manuel Antonio. Sitting at the pool watching monkeys in the trees and Toucans flying overhead. People were so friendly, Rooms were huge, spotless and so beautiful. Food is amazing. 10/10 can’t wait to go back!

Amazing property! Lots of wildlife to be seen. Beautiful beach! Concierge Laura available via text and was super helpful. Better guidance at checkin would help - how to use safe, convenience store, pool locations… Good restaurants within easy walk.

Everything about Hotel Makanda was perfect. We looked at a ton of pictures of the property before we left for our trip, but they didn't do it justice. We were very impressed with the attention to detail on every design aspect of the property.

Our Room was more like a suite with kitchenette, small sitting area and huge shower. Breakfast was amazing... Better than in the "fancy" =expensive hotel we moved to. Good location between towns of quepos and Manuel Antonio !!! Would definitley go back.
