Where I needed to be but the area isn't great

It was where I wanted to be in Manila but the area probably isn't for everyone. The hotel is well run with nice clean room although if you wanted your room cleaned you needed to ask the staff. The TV had limited cable channels and even porn if you want it.

nul nul à éviter

Arrivée facile les taxis connaissent.. je comprends mieux maintenant, à l'arrivée on n'écoute pas ce que vous dites et on vous donne un ticket comme à la sécu en France.. J'insiste et demande à quoi cela sert d'avoir réservé.. Ah vous avez une reservation, je leur donne le n° de reservation mais ils veulent la preuve donc je leur montre sur mon Latop la reservation, sourires et me demandent d'attendre.. 20 mns plus tard on me donne un kit de toilette et ma clé. Chambre sans fenêtre et il se trouve que la clim fonctionne très mal suffocant même après une heure Je signale sans effet. Je sors de l'hotel pour déjeuner, toujours le même problème de clim, Le soir je descent diner, et attends 25 mns qu'on daigne prendre ma commande .. En fait cet hôtel loue ses chambres 2h 4h 6h et ce sont des couples (de toute sorte) qui viennent pour passer du "bon temps". les chambres doivent être nettoyées régulièrement et devant la demande tout le personnel, accueil et maintenance est occupé par ce travail. vers 19h il y avait plus de 30 couples attendant dans le lobby une chambre libre.. j'arrive de force, à faire constater le problème de clim, on daigne enfin faire quelque chose, on me change de chambre .. dernier point devant prendre mon vol un matin de bonne heure, je demande s'ils peuvent imprimer ma carte d'embarquement "on n'assure pas ce service monsieur" m'a t'on répondu bilan nul nul et nul a eviter !

Near British Embassy

The room was basic but it fitted our purpose as it was only a short stay for a good price. There was a lack of toilet tissue. Ordering food and drinks was easy and their policy of, if your order is not delivered within 10 minutes or its free, certainly works. The food was resonably priced and good. The staff were friendly and accommodating.

Convenient for short stay.

Hotel Sogo won't have you expect so much from it. The only convenience is its free, highspeed internet, and its location. The rooms we stayed in weren't properly maintained and cleaned. Particularly, there was a suspicious stain on the chair in our room. The aux audio sustem was great though, you wouldn't have to bring your protable speakers if you'd like to listen to some tunes. Although the cables were worn and finicky to use. Room service was cheap, great, and quick though.

There was hair in the comfort room floor. In the shower drain and behind the door. The mattress was worn out. #535. The hall way and elevator had a very bad smell. The hall on the 5th floor was very hot also. My wife and I visited Camp Benefacio. We went shopping also.

Made ill by toxic paint fumes

Well interesting , no windows, the room next door was being painted, with toxic fumes that made me ill, asked to move and was told hotel was full on a Monday.( how likely is that) Run down inside, a huge hotel with no room to eat breakfast or dinner , room service is inside your room, every time you go to exit the staff ask, and this is every single time. "CHECKOUT" this gets really annoying after the first 5 times. Why do you ask guest every time they exit the door. No other hotel doesn't this. Why do you? Never again, If I want to checkout I will say.

It was just an overnight stay,but I was misled after the on line booking,I choose the nearest hotel to the air port, they lead me to sogo Guadalupe, but the price is reasonable.

Airconditioning faulty

The aircondition was so noisy it was damaged from the inside. They should have fixed this long before someone booked a room. We could have asked for a transfer but we were shy since we noticed it an hour or so. Terrible!!!!

I staff at hotel could not confirm my I had paid through the Expedia site so they told me if I wanted a room I would have to pay them directly after an hour of disagreeing with the staff insisting that I had already paid through Expedia I finally got exhausted with my efforts put on my heavy rucksack and walked out on to the busy streets of Manila in search of someplace else to stay even though I had paid in advance for this hotel.The staff were very unhelpful and really left me in a difficult situation.Never again will I be back in a hotel sogo

Nice hotel

The hotel is good but the office staff are quite annoying because of their facial expressions. They don't look pleasing and accommodating. I appreciate more their room boys, janitors and crews. They really treat and greet well their customers.
