Unfortunately we had a very poor experience during our stay at the DoubleTree Hilton Ealing.
On our arrival, we were first told that the elevator was not working- to compensate for this, they gave us a bedroom on the first floor, which still required us to use the stairs with quite a bit of luggage. We were advised that attempts would be made to fix the elevator and in the three days I stayed, the elevator was still not working. Next was the room- parts of the room were still dirty and worse, the air conditioning was so loud it was impossible to get to sleep. There was no way to turn the fan down and when we attempted to turn it off, we could not. I informed the staff in the morning and was told that a maintenance engineer would be sent. This was facilitated and I was advised that the filter in my room needed changing as it was dirty.
Given that this is a Hilton hotel, I was expecting better in terms of maintenance- I understand that breakdowns are inevitable, but three days without an elevator is concerning. I also think that individual rooms should be checked more regularly, especially for things like the air conditioning. These issues should be addressed prior to people staying in the room, to avoid sleepless nights.
The breakfast was ok, but nothing special. Overall, I would save my money and stay elsewhere in future.
