「I had never stayed in a room above a Public House but I was amazed just how good the Staff made me feel. I was escorted to a lovely clean room with excellent facilities. I soon realised that the owners took personal control of guest relations when I requested extra warm bedding, it was delivered to my room by one of the co-owners, in person! 「Lovely hotel, beautiful old main house with wood fires, panelled rooms, lots of lounges and spots to relax. Friendly reception and clean modern rooms in the mews. Plus two cats! Only thing to mention is that the signs for the outbuildings were a bit difficult to see when we arrived (in the dark & heavy rain), maybe they could be illuminated too? Otherwise a nice place to stay, we would like to go back and explore more of the history, grounds, bunker and restaurant.」
