「The hotel is lovely but a massive downfall in check in was my room was ready and set up as a family room after constantly asking for it to be set up and getting nowhere getting told someone’s on their way up. It should be done now. finally after refusing to leave reception without a staff member coming with me to do it there and then kids were shattered very stressful and up far beyond bedtime!」

It is ensuit. This room is on the 1st floor. The Kitshen is shared and is on another floor. There is double bed, so technically you can have 2 people sleeping on the same bed. There is single parking lot infront of the house, but there are other parking lots walking distance from the house, for free. There is...

「First impression on arrival, front of house could do with some maintenance (weeding). Suite 5*Tap in bathroom had soap marks and hair shavings. Pillows were too hard and mattress was uncomfortable, could feel the springs with every movement we made. Website said city view, but this wasn’t the case,(disappointed). On a positive note, service was good overall. Would stay there again if mattress was more comfy.」

Our room overlooked the beautiful garden at the back of the property, adjacent to private car parking, and a gentle stroll down to the town. We plan to stay again, truly a delightful experience.」

「We enjoyed our stay at The Upper House. It's a beautiful property set in large gardens. Breakfast was good and we dined at their restaurant on a couple of nights and the food was excellent. Very close to the World of Wedgwood and a short walk to Barlaston, where there are a couple of pubs. EV charging is available for a small fee.」
