The room was clean and the front desk person was engaged and tried to help. The problem seems to be with the management. There were several rooms reported in which the televisions were not working. The TV itself worked, but no channels, nothing to watch. I happened to be the first to report it. The manager was called and took absolutely no action, just saying maintenance could not be called in until morning. I felt a more proactive approach should have been taken. This property is in a location that caters mostly to contractors, it appeared, and so it felt a bit like a truck stop. I was just passing through, not expecting a resort, but still, it seemed less tidy than other properties. The first thing I noticed walking in was that the front windows were dirty - not a big deal, but not a good first impression either. I generally like TownPlace but I would not go back to this one.
