The room was immaculate a great size. The staff were very friendly and greeted me every time I came in. The location was fantastic, close to the riverfront and near to countless restaurants.

It's a very good hotel. It was a very convenient location as it was close to the waterfront and there were many restaurants and shops. The front desk of the hotel was very helpful, and we were able to store our luggage during check-in and check-out. I would like to stay at this hotel again next time.

Meritin hotel is in Kuching Chinatown area with lots of local eateries and pastry traditional shops nearby. The free 103 tourist bus is just 1 min walk from the hotel. A supermarket Everise just opposite the hotel. Room is clean and functional. Recommended.

Nice stay

Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast is simple and good; the breakfast spread changes daily. The bar below could be a little noisy for light sleepers.

An excellent hotel to stay with a reasonable price

The location is good. It's a 10-min walk to the water front. There are a lot of restaurants around the hotel. The staff in the hotel is amazing and makes you feel that you are welcomed. The room is pretty spacious and clean. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Kuching in future. Highly recommended.

My Yearly Trips to Kuching

This is not my first stay at Meritin, I am very happy with the rooms, cleaniness is excellent, air-condition is super cool, beds and pillows were very verycomfortable. Staff at the reception are very helpful and friendly. The location is also convenient as it is situated along chinatown and food is abundant along both sides of the street. I will definitely come back here to stay for my yearly trips to Kuching.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was very comfortable, particularly liked the bathroom with the walk in shower, unlike some hotels that have the shower in the bath. Being an older person a walk in shower is much safer. As well, breakfast was included in the room price which is very helpful when travelling. Thank you Meritin Hotel for a pleasant comfortable stay.

It seemed like a newer hotel. The room was comfortable and fairly quiet. Staff were average, and despite my request for an early check-in due to completing 24 hours of traveling, they didn't have my room ready any earlier than 3pm.

Good location if you like walking around old shops area, there are quite many food options around the area. Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. Good housekeeping, was surprised and impressed to receive a hand-written thank you note from housekeeping staff Ela for thanking our long stay there and checking out that we were satisfied with the service. Would love to stay again in this hotel if were to visit Kuching again.

Excellent location, walking distance to diners, grocery stores and seafood joint. It's in a local neighborhood, amazing vibe, you can walk around and explore. Staff are very friendly and helpful, always smiling. However the hotel facility is fairly old. Rooms are very humid (towels never dry, even quilt are kinda wet). Not sound proof, we woke up by either club music or people talking in the hallway..) But it's cheaper so I guess this is what we paid for, the price also tells you about Malaysia's inflation if you haven't been there in a few years.
