「Simple self check in into a narrow hall way leading up some stairs to get to the rooms. This area was will lit and secure. The room itself was well equipped with fridge/freezer microwave kettle etc and fresh milk and bottled water was left in the fridge. Two wall mounted TV's with working remotes and cutlery and pots etc all available. Comfy bed with towels provided for the lovely bathroom with walk in shower. All in all everything you need for a short stay away.」

「Booked this hotel as the rest of our large group were staying at The Ivy Bush Hotel opposite, where they had been recommended. We were not disappointed, the hotel was beautifully decorated and everywhere spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and was scrummy. Our friends at The Ivy Bush were extremely disappointed with their accommodation and evening meal and next time will book the Spilman Hotel. Would definitely recommend 😊」

「Stayed in room 3, amelia earhart room for 1 night. Room was clean but dated, the windows are single glazed so trains and traffic can be heard clearly, shower cubicle could do with a bit of elbow grease under door on inside to get rid of the mould. Could hear the other customers talking in the restaurant until late while in the room so of you're a light sleeper and need an early night, could be problematic. But, the staff are truly lovely and the food is fantastic. Would definitely stay again.」
