「We enjoyed our recent stay in a ground floor, twin bed, en-suite room. There was handy parking, a friendly welcome, a lovely clean and comfortable room, and delicious breakfast. Our hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming, the room was warm and cosy, and we would be happy to stay again.」

「lovely rooms, spacious and plenty of storage and a fridge. Good restaurant and good menu, reasonably priced. Nice seating areas to front and rear including a pizza oven. Breakfast was good, though you had to order the previous night, so you are stuck with what you ordered no matter what kind of night you have!」

「The full cooked breakfast was amazing, i couldn't fault it, single room was small but clean and comfy. very friendly owners , and 2 lovely dogs who came to greet me. Overall i enjoyed my stay, and if im ever back in the area i would definately stay again. 」

「Beautiful location and view from our little balcony over the first Tee and 18th hole. Took my partner for his 50th and we had a lovely couple of days, the beers cold and the food was lovely. Had a round of golf which was challenging as very hilly and mostly blind holes. Great few hours out on the stunning course in sunshine though. Wharton has left the golf company group recently and has moved to new owners, both seemed lovely and have some exciting improvements in mind, the staff already seem...

「This price is not worth it. We booked one night, when we arrived at the hotel, there keycard system something wrong, we got the room without keycard for few hours, really inconvenient. We went to swimming pool, though the door without keycard, so we can’t entre, we back to reception again, after that we were waiting for the leisure reception staff a long time, really angry about it.」

「Mijn 2de keer dat ik heb een overnachting geboekt hier. Mooi schoon kamers. Geweldig pub met lokaal bieren. Geweldig eigenaar en medewerkers. Heel vriendelijke lokale mensen en 5 minuten lopen van het stad centrum. Engels ontbijt van de hoogste niveau voor 9 1/2 pond. Mooi beer garden en gratis parkeren voor gasten. Top top locatie en niet duur.」

「Very helpful staff, very good restaurant, beautiful well maintained grounds, good parking. Room could have done with slightly more modern amenities(wardrobe, better shower, bigger bed) but this is after all a very interesting old building!!」

「Stayed a few times now. Rooms are getting a bit tired however they are immaculately clean. The shower pressure leaves a bit to be desired. However the staff are soo helpful and friendly and always seem cheery! The beer garden in the hot weather is a big plus plus it has a children's play area. I do enjoy my stays here and the food is good too. Good value for money」
