「The staff was warm, smiley, and courteous. There was an issue with the room, and it was handled quickly and efficiently. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel owner was a pleasant person who came to talk with us, gave us tips on where to travel, and asked for our suggestions on how to improve the hospitality. It was definitely an excellent experience in Crete, and we will surely return there next time.」

Koutouloufari is ingericht op toerisme, maar desondanks is het een heel gezellig, leuk dorpje gebleven. Leuke afwisseling aan betaalbare eettentjes.」

「Recently renovated rooms, pool and bar areas, all done to a high standard. The staff really make this place somewhere you want to come back. Such a friendly place with a relaxed vibe during the day and sociable bar at night. Loads of bars and restaurants on the doorstep, although the food and drinks served in the bar are lovely and great value for money. Like everywhere in Koutouloufari there are a lot of stairs so maybe no good if you have a pushchair or limited mobility. Can't wait to go...

「Not all rooms are beach-facing, as some rooms are in the semi-basement and some are facing the parking. No Condiments (coffee/Tea sachets/milk) in the room. Beach towels can be exchanged only on alternate days. Breakfast spread is good, but every single dish repeats every day. Good proximity to the central strip and safe to head back at night. Lovely beach, great for sunset and free beds included. Overall, an average place. Probably a no-frills budget hotel.」

「The people and place were welcoming and helpful. From dealing with a medical emergency to finding a last minute ride to the airport, our hosts could not have been more lovely. They accommodated us more then enough and treated us like family/close friends. We loved our down time at the villa in the swimming pool and on the amazing verandas, and strolling the streets of the village throughout the day was peaceful and picturesque. 「This place is a few steps from the beach, clean and well maintained. Everything in the room worked without any problems. The air-conditioning was worth it to pay a little bit extra for at checkin. The main street is right there with an endless selection of food places and all the necessities (supermarket, pharmacy etc) are a short walk away on the main street. The beach is mere meters away and it is a pleasant sandy beach. The incline of the sea is gentle. We were there in the middle of August...
