"I felt like the whole hotel smelled like smoke. I was hoping when we got to our room it would not have a smell but it did, so I couldn't wait to checkout and clear my throat and wash my hair of the smoke smell. The tvs are old. I don't usually review places and of course you're booking a cheaper hotel but I was hoping at the very least it didn't smell like smoke everywhere. If you don't mind smoke smell then you'd probably be fine. "

"Room was pristine and well designed for a person there to enjoy downtime while keeping in mind a business environment for any unforeseen circumstances. Breakfast was great and had enough options for anyone to enjoy. Staff was on point Tasha greeted me with maximum enthusiasm and made me feel right at home."

"Excellent hotel. Finally a genius figured to put night lights in the bathroom so you don’t have to turn the main light blinding yourself and bothering others! Rarely seen even at fine hotels. Thank you!!!"

"Hotel staff very friendly. Parking a block away. The hotel was quiet, the highway it is next to not so much. Occational cars speeding by is annoying. Hotel has an oder throughout the lobby, elevator and hallways. "

"This is a great hotel and I really appreciate the bountiful breakfast and the cleanliness and the kindness of the front desk. I really like my room as well, I booked the king suite and having the extra sitting room was very comfortable, especially since I was traveling with my parents. I would caution anyone expecting to use the pullout sofa as a bed that you’ll do better sleeping one person on the couch rather than 2 people in the pullout - that pullout is a back breaker!!! I can’t imagine how anyone would choose to sleep on it. But for one person sleeping on the folded up couch, it was fine for a weekend."

"It was nice to be back to Cross Keys as those of in or from Baltimore refer to it. It’s in a great location. The shops are mostly new. My favorite, The Store, is gone. Only Williams Sonoma was of interest. The hotel said the restaurants there are wonderful. What else could they say? We had two queen size beds in our room. Both were so slanted towards the night table that it was a challenge trying to get to the center of the bed so we wouldn’t worry about rolling off of them. The rooms were clean. Breakfast was what one would expect. Was so unhappy to see the amount of plastic used. Horrible to think of the amount of plastic these hotels generate. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. It’s a sentimental favorite. There is much they could do to spruce it up. "
