Dadou Paris

"We just finished our stay in the Loge Verte Suite and we couldn't have been happier! We loved the private patio. It was so relaxing to have a drink and play a game in our own private nook. We added the breakfast which was an awesome way to start each day. The food and coffee was so good! We took advantage of our daily spa privilege all but two days and it was amazing. As a family of sauna lovers the steam room got incredibly hot it might as well been a traditional sauna. To finish a full day of walking and sightseeing with a sauna like experience was incredible. But most of all the staff is what made our stay unforgettable. They are so friendly and helpful. As a beginner French speaker they allowed me to conversate in their wonderful language and didn't judge my shortcomings. They rather encouraged me to speak it and it made me feel just a "little bit" French, :) We truly loved our trip to Paris and Hotel Dadou was a huge reason why. When we return to the City of Light Dadou will be our home again, :) Merci beaucoup!!! A bientot!!!"

"Excellent, well-maintained property. For Sabbath observing Jews, the property is within 10/15 minute walking distance to the Chabab on Champs-Elysées, easy to get to/from meals. The staff is quite helpful about buzzing us into our rooms and keeping food in the Hotel fridges. The spa is an undiscovered gem, one the best in all of Paris. Book a massage or facial if you have the time and you won’t regret it. The only drawback to the entire experience is the state of the hot water in the shower. Sometimes the temperature will change unexpectedly and so we ended up needing to adjust the water a number of times during the shower. Most likely due to the design of the water piping that brings water to various collection points on the floor before being distributed to individual rooms."

"This 5 star hotel lived up to its ranking. We watched the eiffel tower light up each night and then sparkle at 10 pm. Loved the location. Choose this listing for the kitchen which was full and large. Grocery store was at the end of the block and very convenient. They gave us a two story unit which was inconvenient because of the one toilet on the first floor. The circular steps were steep also. The large court yard was delightful."

"Hotel Plaza Etoile is a great location and a hidden gem. It is so close to Arc de Triomphe that you catch glimpses of it through the trees, and just a quick walk to the metro. Great shops and restaurants are all around. The staff was extremely helpful, and the breakfast was delicious (although the little breakfast room does get stuffy in summer). We had the family suite. It had ample space for a family of four and lots of storage-- hard to find in old Parisian hotels. The not-so-good: the hotel does have AC, but it doesn't work well. It will take the edge off, but not get you anywhere near the American-level of AC you may be expecting if you are coming from the states. Also, because it is so close to Champs-Élysées, the street it is on is loud. There is a 24/7 cafe, Le General, right across the street, which can be loud (although they also have good drinks and friendly staff). The carpet in the rooms is also getting a little shabby. The tub is also extremely high and extremely slick. If you have mobility issues, I would be concerned about slipping and falling. All and all, I'd consider staying here again. It's a great hub for a Paris vacation."
