「Wonderful place to stay. We had 2 rooms adjoining, with a gorgeous view of the water. Hosts were so helpful and friendly, both in answering questions before we even got there, as well as being on hand while we were staying. The rooms were lovely and clean, and the small personal touches (breakfast snacks, water in the fridge, chocolates on the pillows) were wonderful. They were also helpful with booking breakfast for us at the pub just down the street. Highly recommend; would happily stay there...

「We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. Matthew is a wonderful host, and we felt welcome in his home. The breakfast offerings were top notch, and our room and bed were so comfortable. The location was perfect for a day trip to nearby Oban, which should not be missed, particularly for the seafood and Oban Distillery tour. 「View beautiful, unavailable for 2 separate beds when that was what it was supposed to be, very hot although 2 fans were provided. Expensive dinner and terrible, bartender not experienced did not buy any drinks after the first.」

「An absolute gem of a property - from rooms, bar, dining room and staff. Wonderful breakfasts prepared each morning. Do yourself a favour and book yourself a dinner there as well. Chef is very talented! The views of boats in the bay and the shoreline of Oban are spectacular from this property. Highly recommend.」

「The darling couple who own and run the B&B are extremely delightful. Our hostess started us off in the morning with a delightful breakfast, good cup of coffee and good advice or directions to our days activities. She made sure we enjoyed ourselves. The bonus was the view from the property was gorgeous.」

「Property is beautiful views even better. Three dislikes, one was they closed all common areas by 10pm so you had to go to your room. Second, dinner was served on little end tables in the common room with all guest. Didn't get water or salt and pepper. Not my favorite. Finally, Beds were also very hard. Staff extremely friendly.」
