「The hotel is extremely convenient to the town and in a beautiful dominant position. Parking is easy and reasonably priced and the staff were polite and helpful. Through circumstances we didn't eat there so cannot comment in regard to food. Only adverse comments are the size of the room - we had to sidle past the bed and the untidy area visible through the window to the rear of the property. Value for money.」

「The welcome and friendliness of staff was good. Hotel was nice, perfect location. Were staying in the courtyard rooms which were well equipped clean but incredibly hot. The restaurant service for dinner and breakfast was great and food very nice. Unfortunately the bar service on our first got was a big let down, very slow and staff did not know how to make cocktails and were prioritising serving drinks for the restaurant over customers waiting at the bar. In fact, we started getting served and...

「Loved the facilities and room :) we had a great 3 day stay. Only thing we didn't like is the TV not registering hdmi so we couldn't watch any movies during our down time after hikes and swimming, and the live TV didn't work often. Other than that we were mostly outdoors and exploring Peak District but coming back to a clean room and relaxing in the hot tub and pool was great. 」

「A fabulous property within the Peak District National Park, serving good food & beer, but also easily accessed from Sheffield too. A short drive from the Ladybower Dam for Dambuster fans & the Snake Pass for those who may enjoy the drive to Glossop & back !」

「This is obviously quite a 'bare bones' hotel but given how expensive some hotels can be in Sheffield, it was brilliant value. We parked easily, were able to check in early and it's a convenient location for getting in and out of the city easily. Coffee & a croissant for breakfast was a nice touch. Would definitely stay again.」

「We were welcomed and the room was clean and the beds really comfortable, nice walk from the door but also lots of gorgeous quaint villages within short drives. The food was good and no issue with parking at all. 」

「Lovely warm, clean and cosy accommodation in a beautiful village. We travelled early in the week in low season, so the pub understandably wasn't open on Monday and Tuesday, Also there is very poor sign for mobile phone and data and we were unable to get the wi fi password, which made contact for work a bit difficult. Otherwise great stay, would visit again 」
