"Staff were really friendly and helpful, for example the concierge gave us advice around puppet show tickets and then got us some amazing tickets. When we said one of our rooms didn’t have black out blinds the hotel fitted some for us. But the pool was a bit grimy and there was a bit of a smell from the lake. This might have been due to the heavy rain the whole time we were there."

"Easy to please Solo-traveler. I booked a Luxury Suite at the Peridot for 4 nights in August and the room was clean and had no noticeable issues as far as I was concerned. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Hot/cold water may be a problem for some, but not for me. Remember, you are in Vietnam! Location is placed nicely as well. There is a Circle K just across the intersection for your basic needs. Plenty of places to grab a bite or drink within short walking distance and the traffic in the immediate vicinity is easy to get around. The breakfast and dinner dining experience is similar to fine dining and I was never disappointed. Menu is a mix of local and Western cuisine. The wait staff is very attentive and service was fast. I did not utilize the spa/pool, but I did spend quite a bit of time at the bar on the 12th floor and the service was awesome! I enjoyed my time spent with the bar staff. The views from the balconies are a nice touch although the plants can use a bit of trimming. I would highly recommend the Peridot Classic Hotel to anyone who is looking for a clean hotel with all the amenities that a solo/couple traveler may want/need."

"Great hotel! Staff were extremely helpful and treated you like royalty. We ended up coming back to Hanoi from Cat Ba early due to a storm and came back to this hotel a second time since they were so friendly and the hotel was such great deal. Tons of food options around the area!"

If the pool had been available I would rated the motel higher but even so, happy to recommend this hotel to anyone, the hunt suite is very good."

"I loved staying at this hotel! I arrived at nearly 2am and the staff was easy to contact and the check in/check out process was super smooth. The rooms had character and were so beautiful and high end. The breakfast was delicious. The location was right in the middle of the Old Quarter. Bhan Mi 25, the Ho Kiem Lake, the night market were all within walking distance and other destinations were a very quick grab ride away. The staff made me feel like a princess and even gave me a thank you gift and overall I would stay at this hotel again if I ever visit Hanoi. The only thing I wished is that instead of a jacuzzi with hot water, they installed a pool with colder wager because Hanoi can get very hot and humid so having a pool to cool off, rather than a jacuzzi, would have been nice. Other than that everything else is a 10/10"
