「The hotel is very 2024. Pros: The room was accommodating and The receptionist who checked us in was very helpful. The leisure was impressive. The gave us towels and wrist bands for lockers they had a dryer machine for clothes They had a a dyson hair dryer and straighter avaliable. The floors were dried straight away by staff. They had a Adult hour which gave us more room to swim. Our toilet was dirty when we came to the room. The Breakfast was not organised for the amount of people...

「For the price the hotel was OK, thankfully it was only a bed for the night whilst working nearby. Its the little things that let it down, first impression when you walk in the foyer is to walk back out, but then when you get in the room itself things are not too bad, Plug missing from batch, back missing off remote control, windows and mirrors are dirty. You get what you pay for.」

「Would recommend this hotel. We had a one night stay in a lovely room, had dinner and breakfast which were both outstanding. Staff were very friendly and helpful with advice on where to go in the area. Would definitely stay again.」

「A very clean room and bathroom. Room amenities were good, apart from only having 1 bed pillow each which wasn’t to our liking. If staying at this property, perhaps recommend staying on 1st floor as our room was ground floor and the noise from upstairs guests was very loud - not much in terms of sound insulation. Room door and lock didn’t seem very secure or sturdy - perhaps this can be improved. Quite a significant gap between door and frame meaning noise, draft and light came through gaps. The...

「Loved the old country charm and all the cosy places to sit and enjoy good food and wine in front of a open log fire , really couldn't fault the Bear , a wonderful place to stay 」

「Characterful property in open countryside with good free parking. A car is needed for getting about as no immediate public transport (40 minute walk to nearest bus stop). Set in lovely grounds with seating outside for warmer days and plenty inside when it isn't so nice. Large room with bath and shower though minmal sockets and not near bed. Good for relaxing and not being distracted by phones. There was an event on the evening we stayed but music stopped by 11pm. Great for a relaxing break. 」

「A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track.」
