Great staff, lovely grounds, only issue was how hot the room was. Even though a fan was provided, the windows don't open enough to give adequate air flow, was difficult to sleep.

Beautiful hall and surroundings. Dinner was excellent. My room was spacious and clean. The staff make this place amazing, they are all so lovely. Solveiga stood out the most, I was lucky enough to have her check me in and out and she is honestly the most wonderful person. I hope she gets the credit she deserves.

Enjoyed our stay, we were on the top floor, but no lifts. Anyone with mobility issues might struggle. There is a stair lift to first floor that needs hotel staff in attendance. Room was spacious, bed very comfortable and facilities fine, We elected to have "no clean" service, (the hotel's policy for saving water) but we did expect the inside of the windows to have been cleaned, the views were obscured because of this. Also, we expected tea, coffee and milk to be replaced, but had to ask. Hotel in lovely location, breakfasts very good.

The room was very clean , comfortable bed and crisp white linen and towels. Lots of hot water for a nice hot bath . The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived late in the evening so didn't drink in the bar. The breakfast was brilliant, good quality produce and good coffee. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. We will definitely stay again when travelling south . Although rooms a little dated, they were very spacious , clean and neutrally decorated, nothing offensive. On the whole we found the hotel great value .
