"The building is old, but is extremely well kept and clean. The view from our room was AMAZING! The staff was wonderful, and Margarit was extremely accommodating. It was a short walk to downtown as well as to the train station to move around the Junfrau region easily. Dining at the restaurant was a very pleasant surprise with very good food and wine after hiking all day. Note though that there is a short but significant uphill walk from the train station or down town to the hotel."

"This hotel was just a couple of blocks walking distance from the train station, which is one of the reasons I chose it. It was super easy to do our daily excursions with being so close to the train station. We stayed in a family suite.It was quite spacious and had every amenity we needed. I loved how the rooms had all of the toiletries included.So we didn't have to call down to the front desk.If we forgot anything. Our room was overlooking the mountain and the river next to the hotel which was great although the double doors to the balcony were through the bathroom, which was a little odd. The breakfast each day had many wonderful items to choose from including asian food which we love. I also loved the selection of teas that were available. There is a fabulous italian restaurant in town called Sapori, you will not be disappointed if you eat there! They have awesome Woodfired pizzas, as well as great pastas."

"This was without a doubt our favorite stay in Switzerland. Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald is simply amazing—the views, the atmosphere, the service, and the location are all outstanding. The staff made us feel so welcome, and the hotel itself has a warm, inviting charm. But what truly took our breath away was the view from our room. Waking up to those stunning mountains felt like waking up in heaven—an experience that fills you with gratitude. We will always remember our stay here and cannot wait to return. "Arrived at the Hotel and the staff could not be more feiendly and helpful. Absolutely beautiful property with a swiss feel. Room was great , indoor pool with Sauna and showers . Restaurant was amazing and probably our best meal in Switzerland. Perfectly located right at the beginning of all the restaurants and shops in Grindenwald. Walk out the door and two minutes you are in the heart of everything. Walked to Grindenwald First as well. Would highly recommend and absolutely stay there again. "
