「For the price and a quick place to stay well travelling home this was a great place. Room was clean. It’s an older place but was clean staff were nice. Bed was comfortable. Room temp was great. Fridge was a bit loud. This is not a 4star hotel but how can you expect that when you’re paying this price. My husband and daughter were pleased with the stay.」

「Staff were very helpful both at my late night check in, and also during a midday issue with the door lock on my room. The door lock required some elbow grease and seemed some other guests had the same issue with their doors. I had a kitchenette in my room, but no utensils or pots which maybe i needed to ask for, but didn't use anyway. Overall, I would recommend the hotel though as it was clean, Staff were very helpful and friendly, and it's in a great location near shopping and food.」

「I call this “you’re on your own hotel”. Breakfast was abysmal, no room service after 4 days. When I went to the front desk. No one was there at 8pm. Finally someone came out and acted like I was bothering her asking her for bath towels. Unreal. Don’t stay here if you want any sort pleasant experience 」

「I will start with the positive. We got massages and the spa was nice. The massages were good. The steakhouse was wonderful and the manager there, the waitress and the staff throughout Oglebay were really good. Now for the not so good: We were there for our 40th anniversary, which they had in their system, but we were given a room in one of the lodge wings that only had a view of the wall belonging to the next building of rooms. 「First room had water leak and was moved to second room. When I opened the dishwasher thee cockroaches came out. Staff was kind, but facilities are old. Bedding was decent.」

「A wonderful place to feel at home away from home. Excellent hot breakfast with fruit salad and friendly conversation. A beautifully renovated large old country home in the middle of a rural village. Definitely will be back.」
