「Great property and staff, dining on site was great, the wharf at the sister property wasn’t very good」

「This hotel was mediocre at best. The tv was facing the left side of the room and could not be turned toward the bed so you could actually see it. When watching from the bed you could not read subtitles because of the angle of the tv in relation to the bed. You could sit on the sofa and watch. The air conditioner was dreadful. It never got below 70 and the room was stuffy. I finally asked for a box fan and they gave it to me. We paid a lot for the room and would have expected more of a luxury...

「A very nice stay overall. Towels at the pool-site would be helpful; instead we needed to take them from our room. Having chairs for the beach would be nice for those of us who have a rather difficult time getting up off the sand. Food at the "24" restaurant is quite good but the service is just so-so. Still, a very good hotel in a beautiful place!」

Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). 「The Village Inn & Pub was perfect for our getaway. Located walking distance to great restaurants and the pier. But the best part was the hotel, our room was beautiful, pool area was a delight to sit out in the evenings and enjoy the beautiful plants. The icing on the cake was the pub, great staff and had karaoke the last night there. We will be back.」

「Staff were friendly and welcoming, helpful w local suggestions and tried to assist w a personal dilemma. Room was on small size (but adequate). Some minor maintenance and housekeeping issues should be addressed. Location was excellent for walking around downtown.」

「We had a beautiful space to relax and enjoy which had a kitchen, living room area, separate bedroom and bathroom. The decor was gorgeous and the rooms were spotless. Parking was easy right in front of the building. Staff was excellent; friendly, helpful and pleasant. Very comfortable, safe, and so relaxing. Highly recommend.」

「Lots of space! A/C works great! Only one bath for a room that sleeps 4-5 but the character of the place keeps it charming and makes up for that. Perfect location!」
