「The Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata is a stunning property. I spent two nights there, and the rooms were beautiful and well-maintained. With so many various cuisines offered, the breakfast was fantastic. We had dietary restrictions, so the chef made sure the meal was prepared in accordance with them, and the dinner was quite tasty. The hotel is ideally situated in close proximity to the airport. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it to others. 」

「This was not our first trip to the Novotel. As a family of 5 we are looking for amenities, convenience, cleanliness, and value. And I must say that Novotel is 5 stars in all o these categories. I especially appreciate the friendliness of the staff. There is not a hotel in the world in this price range, in my humble experience, that can compare with Novotel Kolkata. 「ITC Sonar has the old world charm. It is trying very hard to stay relevant( and succeeding to some extent) after the advent of its bigger and better hotel next door, ITC Royal Bengal. But, for all its efforts, its a little jaded now. But its a large sprawling property. The Pan Asian restaurant is very good. A must eat place. A tip: Stay at ITC Sonar and use the facilities of its next door neighbor- ITC Royal Bengal」

「OVERALL: Once you pass through the very understated entrance gate, and go through check-in, you'll find yourself in a spacious, beautiful palace. Calm, serene, beautifully restored, with a spectacularly beautiful bar and an amazing courtyard with fountain works. The area makes for a beautiful night walk. The former queen's pool is fit for...well, a queen. F&B: you're greeted with nice chocolates with some local flavours. The restaurant was the only let-down; the cheap 90-s Thai optic...

「Staff was excellent and restaurants were superb. The room was clean but the property is old and could use some renovation. There was only one night where the noise was too loud (at 3am) but one call to the front desk and it was promptly addressed! 」

「The hotel is over all good but the things can be better. The menu in the restaurant is limited. It doesn't serve stuffed Parathas, almond and wall nut in breakfast. It doesn't show any business channel on TV. Staff is good and caring at all touch points. 」
