Balcony was filled with construction materials and blocked off, even though that was what I booked, it took 36 hours to get a replacement hair dryer, place outside feels unsafe - lots of unhoused and panhandlers. The restaurant closed 15 min before advertised time and I couldn't put in a dinner order. My room key repeatedly did not work to enter building. Staff made to attempt at respectable customer service.

Balcony and windows blocked off due to construction. Website said “fully renovated”. Pool was closed one day due to construction. Tv channels were not working for 2 days. I asked the manager for a reduced rate and he refused. Disappointing stay, I would not recommend.

Well. This one is a weird one for sure. First off, there really isn't an obvious front entrance... That was very strange. You can access the hotel through a sketchy mall/corridor or through a parking garage that also doesn't tell you what it even services... Secondly, know where at all on the main site for the hotel or expedia does it tell you that repairs are happening outside and your Ocean view room (view) is completely ruined by the blue plastic on the windows and no access to the "fully furnished balcony"... Staff tried their best to make it ok. but for the cost, I should have moved down the street. The actual unit was lovely. Had the view not been ruined (or even telling us ahead of time) and a sign saying Hey we are the Marriott, come in this obvious entrance to a hotel door, it would have been far better experience. I feel communication is key in this regard. Again, the staff themselves were very nice and the room itself was clean and well appointed.

The room is very nice with a great ocean view . Getting out of the hotel and back in is kind of weird . The elevators are very slow . We had to take the back stairs to the parking garage to get to the outside and we didn’t really know where we were going .

The only complaint I have are the elevators, they need more. The check in was super easy, we got there six hours before check in and they had a room available it was great. When we checked out we could store our luggage and still use all the facilities for the day at no added cost. We will definitely be coming back!

Our two balconies were both sealed shut and our windows were covered in blue wrap. There were construction workers walking outside our windows. They said that there is a note about the construction on their website, but I did not see this info on Expedia. We were not offered a discount or any perks for this unexpected, huge change in room description.

So if they would’ve told us that they were working on the property, then I would’ve never booked here we had to change our rooms from Ocean view because all the ocean view that we paid for is basically has an unavailable balcony due to construction and paint on every single floor it is very noisy. It’s very irritating and I’m not happy.

There’s no signs showing you to the entrance, which is normally OK unless the entrance is a random elevator in the middle of a third floor parking garage attached to a mall

Very difficult to find the entrance to the hotel. Barely any sign. A small sign inside the parking garage informs that there is an elevator up to the hotel inside the garage. To catch a taxi you need to bring all suit cases out on the street.
