We have a lovely stay at Deco Boutique! The location was the best part!! Such an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. The hotel could use some updates and maintenance but no major concerns. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pools aren’t heated so they are too cold in February. Their vending machines are a great resource for quick snacks and drinks!
Great convenient location, room was clean and comfortable and was equipped with a mini fridge and microwave. This was a no-frills stay, which is exactly what I was looking for. The main keypad to get into the property is faded with the numbers used to get it, so it’s a little obvious what the code is which made me feel a little less safe. The room itself also had a keypad, but no additional deadbolt to lock from the inside, which made me feel a little uneasy.

Staff was courteous when they were there. We had issues as a number of others did with all the codes used to get into reception , into the room areas and into our rooms. There wasn’t always someone at reception to help. We also could have used hand towels in our bathroom, and a tea towel to dry the dishes in our room. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The downfall was there was nothing close to the hotel for food and drink. We had to walk a mile to eat. It would have been nice to at least have a coffee in the morning.
Clean room with kitchenette. No dish towels or hand towels for bathroom. Ours had a small coffee maker but no complementary coffee but you could go to property office and get a free cup or two. Our side chair was busted so it felt like you were going to fall through it but we were only there 2 nights. Many people we met were staying there for an entire month. Decent location with lots of places to eat within walking distance and the beach is very close. It’s a smaller property with 2 buildings and you have to go through the pool area to get to the rooms for both buildings. Building B could be better marked especially for guests coming after the front desk folks are gone. Pool areas were decent with pool towels provided. Vending machines for water and other drinks. Staff in the front office were very nice. There must be an elevator somewhere but we didn’t see it so if you need one I would ask before booking. We had 2 big bags that we carried to the second floor. Top floor sitting area was nice in the morning for coffee and at night.

Our stay at Deco Boutique Hotel. Let's start with the positives. Location was absolutely perfect for us because we didn't have a car. The owners communication was amazing, they let us check in a little early and check out late on our departure date. It was clean and spacious. Plenty of toiletries during our stay. They had pool towels for us to use.
The negatives. The rooms looked a little sketchy walking up, the lock on the door doesn't close rhe door completely so we put a chair behind it at night. We didn't know someone was above us until 3 and 4 in the a.m. as it sounded like Bigfoot was walking around. You can hear music from the Shorley (didn't bother us), but if you dont like a lot of noise at night it could mess with your sleep. The bed was comfortable, but sinking in the middle. This place has so much potential. I would probably give them another shot.
You are getting what you pay for at this property. Self check in was actually really nice because you don’t have to deal with any wait you can go right to your room. It is also less than 5 mins from the beach as well as a nice beach bar, Starbucks and other restaurants if you don’t want to drive. Bamboo tiki bar is also up the street from here. Jonathan was really nice and helpful. CONS: rooms show signs of wear and tear but I was impressed with the room I had as it included a larger fridge as well as a toaster oven, microwave, and electric stove. This was really convenient for someone like me who isn’t a huge fan of take out. Also, the couch seating areas (cushions) don’t look like they have been washed in a very long time as well as the pool chairs those also look like they have not been cleaned I a long time. This made me hesitant to use their pools because if they can’t bother to clean the chairs and pool cushions I find it hard to believe the pool is being cleaned. Also, no elevator so if you have a lot of bags you will be doing a lot of lifting and walking. Also, the price makes this location vulnerable to the occasional undesirable guests. There was a woman screaming for hours until almost 12 am arguing and physically fighting someone and since the front desk is gone by 4 pm the other guests had to take it upon themselves to problem solve and debate if the cops needed to be called or not. Wouldn’t stay here again, better to pay more and stay elsewhere.

Very friendly and helpful staff, microwave in the room was also an absolute game changer
The room was clean and worked well for our two-night stay. This is an old school Fort Lauderdale hotel, which was why I chose it! The pool areas (there are two) were clean and water looked inviting, but it was too cold to swim. We loved the location as we could walk to a really nice restaurant area in about five minutes that had lots of outdoor dining options! We found a great (not cheap though!) breakfast place a little farther on and I know some guests walked across to the Best Western for their breakfast buffet. We could also walk to the beach and the Jungle Queen tour boat dock in about five minutes.
There were close bus stops if you wanted to use public buses. The hotel has no elevator.
We marked down one star because the staff was unresponsive in the evening when we tried to reach them via their preferred messaging platform. We were trying to help another guest who had arrived without instructions on how to access their room and could get no answer. What if we had had an issue of our own? It was still early in the evening and someone should have responded.
It is important for anyone staying here to realize that the hotel is essentially self-service after about 4:00pm or so when the office staff leaves. Make sure you are in contact with the hotel before you travel to ensure you have the access info you need, especially if coming in after office hours. We had messaged them the day before, as they had requested, and had no problems ourselves. We would stay again.
