The room was dirty upon checking in with stains all over the sheets, mold and mildew growing in the shower. This would be at the level of a one or two star hotel, beware! Also there's a mandatory valet parking of $30 per night, and no restaurants or any life closer than 2.5 Miles away. Not a good location, front desk staff are not very friendly, especially if you have a problem.

I had a very bad experience at Hillsboro Resort by Kasa. Do not trust the pictures posted on the website because they do not reflect the reality of the property. The hotel advertises features that are not accurate. Valet parking is the only option available, and it costs 30 dollars per night, which is not clearly disclosed. They also promote having a restaurant on site, but the restaurant is permanently closed, so there are no food options at the hotel. My room was extremely disappointing. It did not look clean, and I found bed bugs in my bed, which was unacceptable and disturbing. This caused a lot of stress and made the entire stay uncomfortable. Customer service was not helpful, and I did not receive any real solution. The only positive part of the stay was the access to the beach, but everything else fell far below expectations. I would not recommend this property based on my experience.

The room was very nice! The staff keep the hotel very clean. The outside area is absolutely beautiful!!! And it was so quiet out there . Private beach access with chairs, umbrellas and towels. Valet parking $30 a night . It’s worth it!!

I booked this hotel specifically requesting a room with a balcony and a view. When I checked in, I was given neither. I spoke with the concierge to have my room rebooked, and they told me there were no available rooms. Out of curiosity, I called the front desk again later — and was told a room was available, but for an additional charge. That was very upsetting since my original request had been ignored. Things went downhill from there. I was harassed via multiple texts, calls, and emails by hotel staff about an alleged noise violation. This was disturbing, as it made me feel like there were listening devices in the room. I was never informed of any such monitoring, which is incredibly unsettling. Later, I was told that my new room was ready, but no one notified me properly. When I followed up, they confirmed it was ready, so I packed up all my things — including my dog and luggage — and moved to the new room, only to find the door wouldn’t open. I called for help and was told to “just push hard.” I struggled for nearly 30 minutes in the hallway before finally managing to get inside on my own. The new room had a view of the street — still not what I requested — and the shower made loud screeching noises that somehow didn’t seem to trigger their so-called noise detection system. Overall, this stay was stressful, chaotic, and anything but relaxing. I struggle with anxiety, and this experience made it significantly worse. I came here hoping to unwind, but that didn’t happen.

I somehow accidentally got an ADA room and the bathroom is wide open and toilet is in where shower is. It smelled terrible and I texted when I got here. They responded to text and someone would be in touch and no one ever was. Then alarm went off at 11pm bc of burst pipe. Worst experience, no one to talk to and no response.

It was a bit disappointing because the bed and pillows had a strong pee smell. To make matters worse, we couldn’t watch TV on the first night because the control wasn’t there. Fortunately, the staff took it the next day. Today, the pool was supposed to open at 8:00 am, but it was 9:00 am, and it was still closed.
