2 1/2 miles of restaurants, shopping and beaches without driving anywhere. Hotel was clean. People were helpful. We had one surprise that may be attributed to Expedia. A little dated compared to newer construction. But, if you are looking for a comfortable stay with great amenities, clean rooms, a comfy mattress, than Fort Lauderdale Resort is for you.

Clean room, housekeeping very attentive and accommodating of which one is (Jamaican) Sharon, didn’t have a beach view but it was only a short walk to the broadwalk/beach.. overall affordable, clean and great location for beach and food access

There was a fair amount of seaweed on the beach and I found the sand was hard to walk in because the sand was loosely packed. Not a beach suitable for a power walk or a run. The Pier is and surrounding commercial area is not open yet.
