"Room was not ready at check-in time when we arrived after 4:00. Returned to hotel around 7:30 and multiple people ahead of us were told their rooms were still not ready. Ridiculous if there’s a 4pm check-in time, but rooms still aren’t ready at almost 8pm. Evening staff was not very welcoming and came off as cold. Room was outdated, but overall clean. Breakfast was a typical hotel buffet and the food was good. Morning staff at the front desk were very friendly. "
"Our favorite Motel 6 to stay at. The staff are always super nice. Only downfall is the floors are always sticky (too much soap?) and even though its non smoking...there is always a whiff. Im sensitive to it but here, its not "bad". We will be back a few more times this year! "
"Great location near Wachusett Mountain, which made it very convenient for a ski trip. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable, which we appreciated after a long day on the mountain.
Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed that the hot tub was not working and the pool was freezing cold. The main reason we booked this hotel was specifically for the pool and hot tub for our kids. We didn’t receive any email or heads-up from the hotel ahead of time that the hot tub was out of service, which resulted in some very upset children.
After swimming in the cold pool, we promised them a warm bath, but unfortunately the bath water came out brown, which was another frustrating issue.
The walls are also very thin. We could hear people running and walking above us late at night and early in the morning, which made it difficult to sleep.
We ended up eating dinner at the Colonial Grill. The food itself was good, but we were told the kitchen was backed up and expected a long wait. Ironically, the wait ended up being about an hour anyway, but after a full day of skiing it wasn’t really an option to pack the kids back into the car and go somewhere else.
On a positive note, we spoke with a manager about the issues with the pool and hot tub, and they gave us vouchers for breakfast the next morning, which was appreciated."
"Upon arrival the staff member didn’t acknowledge my presence as I stood there in front of her. During check-in the staff member informed me the pool was closed (which was the main reason we were staying in a hotel), but told me that we could use the pool down the street. She said she would give them a call to let them know we were coming. In the end she forgot to call, and I had to go back into the hotel to remind her. During check-in she also insisted the she gave me keys for two rooms when she had only given me the keys for one, and then told me the wrong room number for the second room. During my visit I went to the “gym” which consisted of some weights, a bicycle and a treadmill (no elliptical). Breakfast the following morning was extremely busy (they really need to open earlier for the sports crowd), and it was poorly laid out. Everything is on one long counter, and the line for the waffles blocked the hot options. The hot options were good, but the trays are small and it took a long time for the solo worker to refilll. After 20 minutes of waiting in a line that barely moved I gave up and just had the hard boiled eggs (which were on a separate counter), and I found them to be rubbery. Then I had to find the solo worker to refill the yogurt and fruit. Overall the experience wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great either. I would not recommend the hotel and I will not be returning."
