「Although I only stayed for one night, I had a wonderful experience. We were able to check-in early and were assigned a cozy, warm room. The hotel is family-run, and the staff were all sweet, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was great too! One thing to note is that there is no elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage up to your room if you're staying on the second floor.」

「Every time we come back to the Royal, it never ceases to disappoint. The staff are the people who make this such a special and charming hotel. The warmest of welcomes and we were so well taken care of. Attentive and polite customer services, similar to that of Ashford Castle, that seems to be lost in many establishments these days. The only complaint we had, was that the bedroom was cold even with the small radiator up to its maximum temperature, and the fires had not been lit in the bar area...

「The hotel doesn’t have an elevator. I stayed on the first floor. Actually, there is a corridor between the first floor and the carpark with a few steps only. However, the receptionist didn’t told me about that. She simply told me to carry the luggages through the normal entrance and go up one floor “ONLY” . No help had been offered and she clearly knew I got a car. Nowadays, it is not usual asking the lady customers to carry the luggages going upstairs 」

「Beautifully clean hotel. Stayed a few times and cleanliness standards are always kept very high. We had a heritage room this time - room was perfect but bathroom was pretty small. Large shower - but from shower glass to wall is the width of a bath mat so if you’re a rather large person you won’t fit. Breakfast was delicious although for a “Scottish” breakfast I would have expected Lorne sausage and sliced haggis. We had dinner in the bar area in the evening and although again, it was delicious...

「What a wonderful overnight stay we had at Port Na Craig. A gem of a restaurant (tried and tested before) in the most stunning location. Staff were excellent, so helpful. Food was delicious as always. It was our first time staying overnight there and the cottage was like a home from home. Cosy and welcoming on a rainy night. Great choices for the delicious breakfast and lovely meeting Angela, the lovely owner. Will be back as soon as we can. 」
