"Staff were incredibly helpful. Rooms were clean. The overall experience fell a bit short from previous visits. Food was plentiful but missed some love and culture. The cevicheria was a hit for me and my family."

"I have no doubt that this is the best hotel to book on Isla if you want to be on Playa Norte. Rooms were spacious and the staff were super friendly and helpful. They addressed all of our concerns. When a state worker yelled at my son for accidentally grabbing a beach chair from the pile and placing on the beach too early (apparently they’re not allowed to set up chairs and umbrellas before 9am), the front desk wanted to submit a complaint to the city on our behalf. They truly made our comfort and convenience our top priority. As far as the beach goes, you can’t get any better than right smack in the middle of Playa Norte. It was also within walking distance of plenty great restaurants, not to mention the food carts are right outside too. We had churros and fried plantains almost every night for dessert. Food service was great and there’s something to be said about the quality of food when it is not all inclusive, it’s just better! My family and I had a great time and the staff at Ixchel had a lot to do with that."

"The location is great. Right next to North Garden Restaurant and right across the street from Snappers and a 2 min walk to the beach. Plenty of shops, bars, restaurants within walking distance. Our room was clean and the staff were helpful. The pool was nice after being at the beach all day. The weightroom had just enough equipment to get a good workout...a little worn out but it served its purpose."

"The location was good. 6 minute walk to virtually everything. We had an oceanview suite which was very nice. The only issue was that the elevator didn’t work and we were on the 4th floor. The hotel description indicated that there was coffee in room but it was small and no cream or sugar."
