「The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late.

「A very clean and comfortable place. The rooms were very nice and the beds quite comfortable. The bathrooms were up to date and there was plenty of hot water. The pub next door was very hand for a drink and breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. 」

「Absolutely amazing 3 night stay. Lovely village, lovely warm welcome, lovely couple who run the sun inn and they couldnt do enough for you to make sure our stay was comfortable and fantastic. Very dog friendly which was fantastic too. We had meals every night here at the sun inn as the food was fantastic. Yes limited menu, but we always found something tasty to order.
