「The FMI enjoys a very convenient location in the French quarter at a generally affordable price. The architecture style is french with big windows and lovely courtyard quiet in a short distance away from the hustling streets outside. The manager and frontdesk people are all very nice dealing with unexpected situation in a very prompt manner. There is cable TV in the room. The AC works very well. The window view is pleasant.」

However, upon checking into this hotel, the rooms were extremely old, the lighting was uncomfortable, giving the feeling of being in an operating room. The photos looked great, but the reality was vastly different, with worn-out sofas. Very disappointed. This hotel doesn't even come close to a 4-star standard, and staying here was very unpleasant. 「The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. The location was great, but a little noisy being so close to Bourbon Street. The balcony room was nice and fun to have a spot to watch all the goings on. It is an older building so there are some quirks, but still a great spot 」

「Great location, beautiful views of the water, and conveniently close to the RTA travel stop. Nights were quiet with no loud neighbors or outdoor noise. In the morning there is a boat horn goes off pretty early but it didn’t ruin my stay. 」

「We booked a last minute weekend stay here after our original flight was cancelled. The staff was beyond friendly and the location was wonderful.. about 2 blocks from the French Market, close enough to the action but not so close that you were up all night. We got to watch a couple parades go by (wedding, protest, and a just because parade lol) the courtyard and pool area are very cute. The building itself is older, as are most buildings in the heart of the French Quarter so the rooms were on...
