"This was a one partial night stay - we had to be at the airport early to catch a 6am flight to Amsterdam. Restaurant service good - the pasta portions are huge so share with your travel partner or order something smaller. Room was nice with good hot water for showering. One overhead light was burnt out. Front desk arranged for early 3am transport to airport. Traffic light at that time so we got there in record time. Allow extra time if going during work/rush hours. Did not use any facilities like the pool. Bed comfy as were the pillows. "

"I stayed at this hotel because of its close proximity to the airport. That worked out well for me. I have stayed at other Sofitel hotels before, and I thought that this one compared unfavorably with those. The hotel could use a refresh to bring up its standards. I dined in one of the restaurants for dinner and I found my food disappointing."

The location near the airport made everything simple and stress-free, especially for an early departure. The host was incredibly hospitable and friendly. Since we arrived later in the day and didn’t want to go back out, she kindly helped us order food to the property, making sure everything was correct. She also spent some time chatting with us about Greece and sharing her experiences, which added a really personal and welcoming touch to our stay. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and perfect for a short stay. Overall, this was a great choice for convenience and hospitality. We highly recommend it, especially if you have an early flight."

"Electra Metropolis is a very solid choice in Athens, and I would stay here again, primarily for its excellent location. The hotel is perfectly positioned in Syntagma, making it incredibly easy to walk to most major sites, restaurants, and shopping areas. For a short city break, this level of convenience is hard to beat, and the area also felt very safe, even in the evenings. The room itself was on the smaller side but well designed and functional. Cleanliness was excellent throughout the stay, housekeeping and turndown service were consistently on point, which made a noticeable difference. The bed was comfortable, although the pillows were synthetic, which may not suit everyone. One of the highlights is breakfast. The rooftop setting with views of the Acropolis is genuinely special, and the food selection was good with attentive service. It’s a great way to start the day before heading out. Service across the hotel was friendly and efficient, with staff generally helpful and welcoming. Facilities are decent. The gym is located in the basement and is on the smaller side, but sufficient for a quick workout. Very good experience and highly recommended. "
