It is a very good experience to stay in Varaba Country House. We arrived the airport around 7 pm, and the driver picks us up on time. The house is very nice and new, the driver is so friendly and the dinner prepared by the cook is excellence! Definitely will recommend to friends and re-visit the house.

Pro: - 10 minutes away from airport - good for transit - Have to emphasize NICHOLAS, the super nice driver arranged by hotel which costed 12€ only (while taxi or other transportation costs more than 30€) friendly, helpful, with different cars to handle 2/4/6/more guests with luggage. You could also talk to him for arranging another transfer, not just between airport and hotel - Free western breakfast set per person (bread, boiled egg, yogurt, milk, cereals, coffee) - Staff are friendly and Christina is responsible via email - Super quiet place at night Other comments: - Around 40 minutes away downtown - can ask Nic to take you directly to town or to airport then take train - Could order dinner from hotel (White wine + Bread + Greek Salad + Baked Penne with tomato sauce, egg plant and mixed meats) - Can order food delivery like pizza but didnt order the dinner (or simply dont like) - You can never walk to this place by youself and I dont think taxi drive can bring you to here correctly Con: - The hot water is not too stable - 4-person room size varies (the bigger one seems old when the modern and clean one is smaller - P.S. We stayed for two nights with same price but arranged to two different rooms)

Nous avions choisi cet endroit pour une nuit avant notre départ et ce fut le choix parfait! Endroit tranquille loin des foules entouré d’olivier à 10-15 min de l’aéroport. Nous avons été très bien reçu en nous offrant un verre de vin suite à la prise de possession de notre chambre. Le souper sur place que nous avions décidé de prendre fut excellent avec le vin et bière inclus. Le petit déjeuner était également délicieux. Ce fut l’endroit parfait pour terminer notre voyage!

This was the cutest and best place. We loved that it was more out in the country. It was clean, inviting and quiet. The staff was so helpful. A Greek home cooked dinner was prepared for us and was delicious.The breakfast was inviting as well.

This is a unique and lovely property. It is not your typical hotel with the front desk and so on. But it still has wonderful amenities. Pick up and drop off at the airport, an absolutely fabulous home-cooked dinner and a very wonderful breakfast. Great ambience, nice people, sweet dog and cats. In reading the reviews before I booked it, I realized if there were negative comments, it's because people simply hadn't read the description of what kind of a place it is. I loved it!

Very quaint small B&B like property in the countryside. We chose it because of its proximity to the airport, because we had a very early flight the next morning. Limited staff but very friendly and helpful. Provided access to dedicated taxi service, but it was not complimentary. Provided nice family style dinner for a reasonable price. Planes were noticeable at night, so bring ear plugs if that would bother you. We left before breakfast the next morning so cannot comment on that. Overall a very relaxing stay. Would stay here again.

The Varaba Country House was an absolute gift to find. Warm and welcoming, it’s an oasis away from the hustle and bustle in Athens. Not only was the home cooked dinner delicious, you have a table looking out over olive trees, and if you want, you can start up a conversation with other travelers. Our room was beautiful, and breakfast was a treat. Definitely recommend if flying out of Athens airport, only 12 minutes away. Also, sweet animals (Bruno the pup!) will say hello!

Fantastic location. Close to airport but secluded. Beautiful surroundings with a pastachio orchard. House was gorgeous. Nice deco, outdoor patio, wonderful customer service. Complimentary wine. Fantastic meal prepared by Nicki. She was so sweet and full of knowledge. Food was authentic and excellent. Highly recommend

Could I please make this a 6 star review? We landed in Athens after a day of flying and having a beautiful Mercedes car waiting to take us straight to our room at the boutique hotel….bliss. Having an ABSOLUTELY delicious home made dinner waiting for us on the romantic patio…amazing. Local wine with dinner, great healthy breakfast, lovely clean modern room and bathroom. The entire building is surrounded by orchards. And by the way only 15 minuets to Athens airport. Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Great communication before we arrived. We will always make this our stop in Athens.

Absolutely beautiful property ! Common areas we wish we'd had time to enjoy - TRUE "Country house" ! orchards of pistachio trees and grapes growing, etc. Unfortunately, we arrived late during a rainstorm AND had to depart very early the next morn for our flight. We loved everything about this place; from the car service that takes you right to your room , with a great homemade Greek dinner and a very nice breakfast on the veranda. Our room was clean, comfortable, and restful with a little outside sitting area. Excellent . Would totally stay again.
