They allowed us to check-in hours early in order to drop off luggage, the place was clean and quiet. Minutes away from a church, a little breakfast place and the bus stop.

We had a great trip to at Strathallen Guest House. This was a great location to explore Edinburgh and the royal mile area without needing to rent a car for the city portion of our trip. Bus stop is right out front and many attractions within walking distance. Our room was clean and charming. A quiet space just outside the busy city center.

Sehr ruhiges Zimmer. Gute Busverbindung. Dusche war in der Badewanne mit Vorhang. Wir waren zwei Nächte dort und das war vollkommen ok. Frühstück in einem Café ums Eck, 2-3 Minuten zu Fuß

We arrived early and they let us leave our bags in a safe spot in the lobby so we could start exploring right away. When we got back our bags were waiting for us in our room! Everyday they made the beds and left fresh bottles of water and treats.

Cool old building. Lot's of character. My wife forgot a couple of cards from her wallet on the nightstand and the staff mailed them back to us in Canada on them. Great service

The property is in a great location . The room we were in had a very tiny bathroom you couldn't turn round in and the door was coming off its hinges. The owner was excellent and always got back re queries. Some nice places nearby for brekkie and perfect location for a Fringe visit.

My stay here was SUPERB. The room felt clean and very pleasant to stay in, and the manager was so kind in letting me check in early. A shout-out to the cleaner who was there when I arrived as well, who was kind enough to help let me in and even carried my bag upstairs for me - that was so appreciated :) Best accommodation I’ve stayed in for a long time!

The Strahallan hotel was beautiful and well-appointed. Our host kindly greeted us and helped carry up our bags (note no lift). We were also able to park there, which was GREATLY appreciated. The room gets a bit musty smelling and we weren't able to open the windows, but running the bathroom fan helps.

Nice big clean room. Large shower. Easy walk to bus stop. Minto Cafe around corner has superb breakfast. Room fan and small fridge would be great room amenities. Although in the listing, there are no laundry facilities.

Clean, cute, but pretty small room. Great location for a 20-30 minute walk into central Edinburgh with many shops and restaurants along the way. Unfortunately, during our stay both the toilet flushing handle broke and the sink starting leaking water all over the floor every time we turned it on.
