Our room was clean and exactly as advertised. Perfect having 2 rooms while traveling as a family. Wonderful extra touch of a bottle of Prosecco on check in, perfect as we were getting ready to go to the tattoo Easy check in and a fantastic location. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit

Had a good 2 night stay here. I was in room 6 on the second floor. There are no lifts which wasn't an issue for me but please be aware. The room was beautiful and clean. Lovely, comfortable bed and stunning bathroom with a full stand alone bath tub and separate shower cubicle. I stayed at the weekend and their was some noise from outside with people enjoying a night out but it didn't affect my sleep.

Spacious room in a great location (new town) which we preferred. Very clean which we like. It was quite loud at night, so make sure you have a noise machine or are ok with traffic noise as the windows do not provide much noise insulation. The shower and tub were great and bed was large. It met my expectations!

The hosts were fantastic! We arrived to a sparkling clean apartment stocked with fresh fruit, coffee and many choices for bath products. The locations is perfect for exploring and it's a very comfortable place to return to after a long day exploring!

Neat place. Note there are 79 steps to the top floor (rooms 8 & 9). No AC if you are there when it is warmer. Enjoyed the separate rooms as we had 3 guests. Quiet room and decently comfortable bed (firm mattress). Would stay again.

Hanover 71 is a nicely restored historical structure, furnishings are nice and all the usual toiletries are provided. The location is also good. We ate breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and the food was excellent both times. The literature in the room says you get a 20% discount but was actually given a 10% discount which was still appreciated. Be aware that there is no elevator so if you have any mobility or strength issues, getting to the mid and upper level rooms with luggage will be a challenge.

Perfect for a weekend in Edinburgh

This was a family trip to the Christmas market. The location is fantastic, walking distance from the station, perfect for seeing all the attractions, shops and eateries. Everything was ready on time of us arriving, The restaurant in the building was fantastic and the staff were amazing. We will be back

Great spot! Check-in was a bit rough; I didn't have service, so I didn't get the email about self-check-in, and when I did get the info it led to an occupied room. We got it sorted shortly and onward was a great, comfy spot.

Beautifully decorated rooms, you walk into a cafe when you enter then the stairs lead you into your room. There are no elevators. The room and attached bathroom was spacious for my family of 4 with 2 kids.
