Jimmy was very helpful and attentive, even welcoming me personally on check-in at about 10 p.m. (I thought I would have to do a self check-in after 7 p.m., which would have been fine, but he came to the door instead.) The breakfasts were excellent and the room was clean and comfortable.
Very pleasant experience. Very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Easy to catch a bus in front of the guest house. Would stay again
Wonderful owners were amazing and everything so clean and beautiful. They were so helpful and have added so much to our trip with suggestions and little things that really matter.
Breakfast was amazing! We felt like very special quests!
We will return here again. Highly recommend.
Great location close to public transport. Fabulous breakfast and quietly attentive staff. Our room was small if you had 2 medium-sized suitcases like we did, and the tv reception wasn’t great. But all in all, we had a comfortable stay.
The place of accomodation was handy for everywhere with regular bus service. The service in gueat house was exceptional, accomodating requests, that some places wouldn't. Breakfast was lovely and there was loads of options for everyones taste and dietary needs. And the building was really nice and clean, only missing maybe a luggage rack in the room. I found it good that they were into recycling and being energy efficient, but the recycling of guests rubbish I found bit invasive. I would much rather separate my own rubbish, if there is a bin with 3-4 slots and one can separate ones own (done this in hotels before) and not having somebody go through ones waste afterwards.
Glenalmond house er et kjemeekoselig hus med nydelige verter. Jimmy og Sue gjorde alt for at vi skulle ha et flott opphold, virkelig nydelige mennesker. Man velger blant 7 ulike frokostmenyer, her er noe for enhver smak! Glenalmond house ligger en fin gåtur unna sentrum (25 min), men det går busser for de som vil bruke det rett utenfor huset. Vi storkoste oss her under vårt opphold i Edinburgh!
Mycket trevlig personal och god frukost. Fint rum med både sängar, handdukar och badrum. Lite långt från city, men det gick bussar hela tiden. Tog ca. 15-20 minuter att åka buss in till city.
I’ve stayed at Glenalmond twice and found a great welcome on both occasions. The rooms are very spacious, comfortable and well equipped and the breakfasts perfectly cooked. The location is a half hour walk to the centre but Newington up the road has plenty of restaurants and shops. My first choice now for a visit to Edinburgh
Lovely B and B with helpful, friendly hosts. Great free parking and good breakfast. Slightly further walk than we thought to the centre of Edinburgh but lots of buses go in that direction.
