「The rooms. at the Essex Golf and Country Club are very nice and super clean. Be aware there is no in-room ac that we could find and just the smallest desk fan in the room but perhaps this is only an issue for 3 weeks a year! We arrived late (9.30pm) and check was smooth, went to the room and unpacked and notice in the room directory suggested the bar was open until 10.30pm. We meander up only to be informed that last orders was at 10pm so we would only be permitted to purchase one drink. Then...

「Very nice b and b room with ample parking and ideal location for where we needed to be. Good was excellent especially the full cooked breakfast. The staff were polite and helpful. My only negative was that the tables in the restaurant side could have been cleaned, they were a bit crumby and could have done with a wipe over. But apart from that a very pleasant one night stay.」

「If you're visiting Duxford Imperial War Museum, or Cambridge, you won't find a better place to stay. Cambridge and the Duxford Airfield and Museum are only 30 minutes away, with very light traffic most of the time. The motel-like accommodation is great, clean and modern with everything you need. The staff are very affable, and the food is simple but very good. And of course there's a well-stocked bar. The prices are very keen, and there is a large car park. What more could you want?」

「Rooms was on the small side. 4' 6" bed, but very comfortable. Room didn't have any workable ventalation. All work surfaces paint gloss grey, but were sticky, In the bath room everything worked. But shower didn't drain quickly, so could flood the room. No curtain or blind at window, likewise for the single window at the rear.. Had to get kettle replaced, as it blew the fuses. On Saturday night alot of noise from the occupants of rooms above until 2.30pm. Glad we were only staying...
