The room was comfortable. The pool room and facilities need cosmetic work and the pool needs the paint chips cleaned out.

There were only two hangers and one small drawer. That doesn’t work when staying for three days with a bunch of snowmobile gear. Lot of wasted space that could have a closet and dresser. There wasn’t a lamp near the couch where you would want to read. The staff were all very nice and fixed the problem of the hot tub not being hot very quickly.

We stayed for two nights. It was loud - guests in hallways, couples fighting. Our room was near the ice machine which didn’t help but we swore the walls were the thinnest we’d ever experienced in a hotel. There was no soap on arrival and we couldn’t find staff to get any. The hotel says daily housekeeping, but all they did was come in and finally give us soap and empty trash and refill towels. Nothing wiped down. Bed not made much less sheets changed, Bathroom not cleaned. The grout in the bathroom looks like it’s rarely cleaned or with a dirty mop when it is. We used the hot tub one night and the ceiling was leaking on us. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows are the size of couch throw pillows. The brkfst - not great. The location was convenient, and the hallway areas were clean but despite looking updated they need to some serious maintenance - to the roof if nothing else.

Not happy with the bathroom. We were in room 137. Lighting was not good in bathroom. No lights above bathroom mirror. No kleenex. Shower floor was a tad dirty and didn’t like the floor surface in shower. Shower had no built in shelf for shampoo, soap or body wash and it had a cheap shower curtain that let water run on floor and underneath bathroom door leaving basically a puddle on floor and slick walking conditions. We also could not get into the hot tub either night we were there. Was always full and snowmobile trailers and trucks crowded the parking lot leaving virtually no place to park!

When a hotel is neat and tidy with pleasant workers that means management directs their staff to be this way and hard working employees make it happen. Day Inn ER, WI has neat and tidy lobby, pool area, rooms and breakfast area. Staff is very accommodating and don’t mind stepping out of their lane to be helpful. Great place, especially for a winter snowmobile stay with plenty of parking for trailers and such. And hot tub to unwind.
