Dubailand is a work in progress, a huge and expanding entertainment, sporting, retail and residential district that’s still being built. Construction companies are transforming tens of millions of square feet of desert into a hub of theme parks, malls, sporting attractions and homes.
Although there are many years of construction work ahead, a number of attractions are now open to visitors.

Dubai Sports City houses a variety of sporting facilities and attractions. Play a round of golf on the championship course, watch a match at the 25,000-seat cricket stadium or race a motorized go-kart at the Kartdome. Improve your sporting skills at the rugby, soccer, cricket and golf academies.
Round off your trip by going shopping. Hunt for bargains at Dubai Outlet Mall. This factory outlet shopping center has more than 240 stores selling hundreds of famous brands at heavily discounted prices.
Then head over to Global Village, the multicultural shopping and entertainment area. It has more than 30 pavilions representing different countries of the world. You will find native art, crafts, clothes and food from dozens of countries. Don’t try to see it all at once as there is so much to observe and experience.
Ride on the fairground attractions and enjoy cultural performances that include a Bollywood dance troupe, African shows and Emirati entertainers. The Global Village is open between October and March.
Dubailand is located on the Emirates Road, and is a 25-minute drive from Dubai International Airport. It covers a large area, so a car is the only way to get around.
