「It’s a very nice cave hotel that is very conveniently located to explore the old Matera on foot. It is safe and quiet at night. There is also a very good restaurant right outside the door Dominica was absolutely wonderful. She came to meet me all the way at the airport, even though my flight was delayed and I didn’t arrive until the evening. She also gave me a detailed information on what to see in the town, the most important landmarks, where to go for nice views, where to go out to eat, etc....

「Staying in a cave was so awesome. Julia and the staff were amazing. The wine happy hour was fun and breakfast was very good. It was worth staying here. We did not get to use the pool area but it was calm, serene and beautiful. The entire facility had a calmness to it thst just relaxed you and made you feel welcome. 」

「Nice spacious clean rooms. Bathroom had an excellent shower. Spectacular views from the patio/dining area. Friendly staff. The only negative was that our room was on the second floor and the elevator did not go there, so that if someone has difficulty walking, that room would not be suitable. A family member had a room on the 1st floor so there was no problem.」

「GREAT LOCATION! Right next to the Duomo square. Churches, things to see, restaurants, shops, all nearby. Super friendly host, very, very helpful with directions and suggestions. Highly highly recommend!」

「It's the best hotel for me. The owner of the hotel is very nice and enthusiastic. Although they don't speak English very well, they helped us a lot with our heavy luggage. 「This is a lovely boutique hotel that is newly renovated to take advantage of the unique caves in Matera. There is a beautiful view over the gorge. We spent 3 nights here and the lovely owner spent time with us each day curating a perfect itinerary for seeing Matera. There was free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable, and breakfast was good. It’s about a 10 min walk into the main part of town, but it’s nice to be on the edge with the view and it’s super quiet. 」

「Formidable B&B dans un sassi à la limite de la ZTL de Matera. L'endroit est idéal pour vister cette ville typique et charmante du sud de l'Italie. La chambre se trouve dans un sassi avec une belle vue depuis la chambre. L'endroit est egalement entouré de restaurants donc facile pour les options de repas. Le petit déjeuner a un grand choix de produits différents et de qualité. Un vrai régal pour bien commencer la journée. En conclusion, un charme total à l'italienne. 」
