"Kind of a strange stay. The location is insanely awesome. But that’s about all that’s good about it. The rooftop is not open Monday and Tuesday, so be warned. They don’t really say that anywhere and I was bummed about that. Also, the slamming of the doors… holy moley. Housekeeping doesn’t close doors, they SLAM doors. So hard that it shakes the entire building, and that is not an exaggeration. It’s super weird. Also, my shower didn’t drain which was weirdly gross. It’s all just super run down. And I hate to throw this kid under the bus because I know it’s hard to find good help, but when I checked out, the kid that “helped” me had to finish sending his text before even acknowledging me. This is the hospitality industry. At least look at me? He just kind of stayed staring at his phone, and reached up for the keys from the counter without ever looking up or saying a word. I just don’t understand why such an awesome location is wasted on a subpar business. Anyway, I hope this review helps other people. "

"Beautiful, remodeled, boutique hotel located right over Laguna’s main beach. Excellent. "

"The location of the villas are perfect. It’s footsteps away from the beach. Overall maintenance of the property is ok. I feel that the interior of the villas could use some upgrades or remodeling. Check in was seamless due to no physical contact with a front desk agent. A key padlock was attached to the villa door and we had a few issues with trying to open it upon arrival. Amenities other than having your own kitchenette will be charged à la carte. Parking is $45 per night and they charge for beach chairs, umbrella rentals etc. Rooms were decent as far as the cleanliness, however there was a slight odor when we first opened the villa door. The property is smoke free which is fantastic. If ocean view isn’t a must for your stay, I would recommend 14 west which is right across the street from their location. I believe they’re ran under the same management. "
