I really wanted to love this hotel. The atmosphere and decor are undeniably cool, and both the front desk and valet staff were genuinely wonderful. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the aesthetic.
Our room was 2.5 hours late for check-in and wasn’t ready until nearly 5:30pm. After a long travel day, and a concert to get to, that was a tough start. We had booked a king room, but the bed in our room was actually a queen.
A small but frustrating detail: the coffee shop at the front told me it would take 20+ minutes to make a decaf coffee (I’m pregnant), because they would need to grind the beans. Most good coffee shops grind beans on demand and make the drink right away, so this felt odd and that they just didn’t want to make it.
Overall, the hotel has a fun vibe, but it’s definitely a bit of a lipstick-on-a-rough-building situation, which is especially noticeable once you’re inside the rooms, which have weird dim pink lighting.
Lovely staff, but the experience didn’t justify the stay. Wouldn’t book again.
