"Dear Choice Hotels Corporate Team, I am writing as a local resident of Syracuse, New York, to share my recent experience at a Quality Inn property in the area. I previously stayed at this location approximately three years ago and found it to be in very poor condition at that time. Recently, I chose to give the property another opportunity, especially after learning that renovations had been made. While I do acknowledge that some updates have taken place, I must express that the hotel still has a long way to go in meeting acceptable standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and overall guest experience. One of the most concerning issues is the apparent lack of adequate staffing. The limited staff present seemed overwhelmed, which resulted in important areas being overlooked. The bedding in my room did not appear to be properly checked or prepared, and I ultimately had to request fresh linens and make the bed myself. Although the staff member who assisted me was polite and accommodating, the situation itself was unacceptable. Additionally, there were serious cleanliness and maintenance concerns. The hallways were not well-maintained, and there appeared to be possible mold within the heating unit in the room. I also observed what looked like pest-related issues, which raised further concern about the overall condition and safety of the environment. There also seemed to be a significant number of pets on the property, and it was unclear whether the hotel is officially pet-frien"

"The check in kiosk wouldn’t take the credit card, wasn’t reading the chip. So I had to check in person, could barely hear the receptionist. The bed was all springs, basically a pull out couch bed. Most uncomfortable night I’ve had in a hotel in a long time. "

"Clean and very large room. Great location for Syracuse and the Armory. Check in and parking were easy. Breakfast had something for everyone. Staff was very helpful and kind. We will be back."

"Property could use updating. Breakfast had absolutely zero fruit options. But the room was very spacious with a full kitchen "

"The property is wrecking of smoke. It is unclean and not well maintained. The room condition was subpar. The bathtub was not clean. There’s a hole in the wall near the tub from water damage. The shower curtain is unclean with build up. I could not see out of the window due to dirt and condensation build up. There was no remote to the tv. The bedsheets wrecked of smoke. "

"Breakfast with no fruits, no plan yogurt. Limited , overcrowded. Breakfast space small. "

"Overall it felt unsafe to stay in the building. They have signs that they are undergoing renovation but outside of seeing things that need to be addressed (e.g., bathroom ceiling caving in, visible water damage, walls that need patching, items falling off of the wall, mechanical items in what should be the breakfast area) we did not see any active renovation. Overall, the building didn't feel, appear or smell clean. We purchased towels and pillows from a nearby Walmart to take a shower and sleep. The smell was a combination of a pet store, smoke and dryer sheets. "
